Catholic Community
An Ecumenical Community
Affiliated with 2200 Minnehaha Ave. East, Saint Paul, MN 55119
We
are the parish of Cornerstone Old Catholic
Community. We are followers
of Jesus Christ.
We examine and strengthen our relationship with Jesus Christ centered in the Holy Spirit through liturgy, the sacraments, study, and reflection. We encourage each other in the faith. We pursue ministry together according to our diverse gifts given by the Spirit for the local body of Christ in Minnesota. Ours is the old Catholic tradition of the early Church. It is a tradition that is apostolic and catholic, embracing the modern world and not fearing it. The eucharistic mystery of the Local Church is the basis for our parish life in communion with other local Old Catholic parishes gathered around our locally elected Bishop in Minnesota: James R. Judd. Our
community practices the Old Catholic tradition
as it is taught by the Old Catholic Churches of
the Union of Utrecht. Although we are
Catholic, we are
also ecumenical. Everyone is welcome to gather
around our eucharistic table and participate in our fellowship. We live
eucharistic lives as baptized members
of Christ's mystical body on the local level. We
welcome you to come and live this life centered in Christ through the power
of the Holy Spirit, giving all glory
and praise to God the Father of all. We know we
must work with all Christians
to spread the Gospel through word and sacrament,
especially those who claim
to be Old Catholic in the U.S. and have a
comprehension of the Union of Utrecht's local
church eucharistic and trinitarian ecclesiology. If
you are seeking a community like ours,
contact us!
If you have been rejected, ignored, or hurt in
practicing your faith, we are reaching out to
you. We call out to all kindred
souls in Minnesota: Join us!
